Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè (/jɘˈmëjɘ/ /ˈag̃o/ [drunk (inebriated)] [cotton]) is a subtropical Town located in the Gêngípíêpíêè Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè was founded by Kêl Èbmèj, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a pleasant 25°C (77°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 22°C (71°F). Overview

Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè was founded durring the late 20th century in early fall of the year 1887, by Kêl Èbmèj. The establishment of Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the late 20th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature delicute timber framework hidden behind layer upon layer of finly ground plaster bleached to an almost glossy white sheen, with green clay tiled roofs and decorative brass-leafed trim. Even the smallest, poorest looking structures appear to be expencive thanks to the extreem elegence of the organic shapes and paterns going into their lofty, spire-y, vagly gothic designs. The more well off folks live in identicle homes, save for even shiner trim and a more whimsical appearance to their structures flowing forms.

Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of spacious flagstone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town sits behind an impressive looking clay brick wall. The wall is notable for querried stone blocks being used to renforce the clay bricks in the expected manner and locations. While the wall was built to the exact specifications of modern fortifications, one has to wonder why the money invested into creating such a well fortified wall wasnt spent on a less impressive looking wall crated from sturdier materials. Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè's walls would endure a brief bombardment, but only from light siege weapons. It seems more likly the town's walls were not designed with defence in mind but rather lending the town a certain air with visitors. The boondoggle-of-a-fortified wall have not been wellmaintained over the years, and while functional are in dire need of some loving care and perhapse light renovation.

A look arround Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè reveals an abundance of schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual.

Cultural Notes

Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is inspired by the natural world, characterized by sinuous, sculptural, organic shapes, arches, curving lines, and sensual ornamentation. Common motifs included stylized versions of leaves, flowers, vines, insects, animals, and other natural elements. Decorative elements found on the inside and outside of buildings include intricate mosaic work, curved windows, and decorative trim work. .

In Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè rainbows form quite often above the Town.

The Fox, Fading near Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves performance art to channel Elven High Magic energies of tier 1 via singing.

Rather than repairing them correctly, a series of new roads was laid atop the old, leading to the streets of modern Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè suffering from potholes, cracking, and even sinkholes. The locals often repair the road by putting down wooden decking.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century was struck by a great wind storm. A great funnel cloud itself touched down in Yêmëyê-ag̈o Dêtîkè, bringing twisting winds which killed 246 people, 330 livestock, and 74 buildings in the disaster.. The disaster is generally remembered as the Howling Winds of Grieving.
